The main RES sectors in which the company is already active are Wind Energy, Hydroelectric Projects, Solar installations and Integrated Management and Energy exploitation of Wastes and Biomass. At the same time, the company examines its involvement in the sector of Co-generation of electric energy and heat.

TERNA ENERGY is activated in the RES production carrying out three distinctive as well as complementary objectives:

• The company invests its own capital in the development of new electrical energy production units.
• The company develops new installations by utilizing its specialized personnel and own infrastructure / equipment: for the wind measurement, energy capacity planning, permission and construction procedures.
• It owns and commercially operates its energy units.

At the same time:

• The company makes strong efforts to inform its community about critical energy issues. It also utilizes specialized consultants and the available media in order to reach its goals.
• It actively participates in the Greek Federation of Electricity Producers from RES , (www.hellasres.gr) which is a respected and reliable body with deep knowledge in RES issues in Greece and has made significant interventions in legal matters. The Greek Federation also takes initiatives in informative campaigns, whereas it participates in international associations and institutions (EWEA, EREF).
